Instagram's New Office Is Basically Instagram in 3D
Instagram’s sixth birthday gift to itself was a brand new, three-storey office space. And it looks just like the app.
Instagram’s creative director, Ian Spalter, worked with Gensler Architects to design the place that feels like a 3D version of the photo-sharing platform.
The company’s 400 employees moved a stone’s throw away from their old office at Facebook’s headquarters to Menlo Park, California.
The new office emanates the vibrancy of a young design company, a blatant contrast to its old industrial interior. Surrounded by high ceilings and digital displays, the new headquarters overflows with muted colours, sleek lines and natural light.
Instagram employees also get to enjoy a microkitchen, library, design room, photo-op area, as well as an in-house Blue Bottle café.
Before we blab on further about the new Instagram office, we’ll just let the pictures do the talking.
