iPhone 6s Users, Apple Wants To Replace Your Battery For Free. Here’s How!
If you or someone you know is an iPhone 6s user, then you need to pay real close attention to what we’re about to tell you.
Apple has recently discovered that a number of iPhone 6s units are experiencing unexpected shut downs.
According to an official statement issued on their website, the unexpected shut down “is not a safety issue and only affects devices within a limited serial number range that were manufactured between September and October 2015.”

You can check via their website to see if your model is affected by keying in your serial number. If your phone is affected, you are eligible for a free battery replacement.
A message like this should pop up in the event that your phone is eligible.

So, how can you claim your free battery replacement?
Affected users should visit a participating Apple Authorised Service Provider. You are advised to call in advance to confirm that the battery replacement service is available on the day of your visit.
Once there, your iPhone will be examined to verify that it is eligible for this program and is in working order.
If you have paid for a new battery earlier and believe that your phone is affected by this issue, you can file for a refund with Apple here.
So, iPhone 6s users, start keying in your serial numbers!
