Japan Might Pay For Half Of Your Next Trip To The Country
We know a lot of you wanderlusters out there are already planning to travel out of the country the moment it is safe to do so, having been stuck in the country for so long.
If you're looking for a destination to visit, Japan might be making you an offer that's pretty hard to refuse.
New reimbursement program
According to a report by The Japan Times, Japan might cover half of the travel expenses on your next trip to the gourgeous country. The chief of the Japan Tourism Agency, Hiroshi Tabata, said in a press conference that the Japanese government plans to allocate ¥1.35 trillion (RM54.8 billion) to a new reimbursement program.

Japan, which currently has an international travel ban in place, recorded only 2,900 foreign travelers in April, their lowest mark since 1963.
According to Tabata, the Japanese government plans to subsidise a portion of travellers' travel expenses to lure wanderlusters into visiting the country.
Tabata also mentioned that the program could start as early as July, providing that the pandemic is brought under control and it is safe to travel again.

They could just follow Sicily's footsteps, whose local government announced last month that they would be reimbursing travellers for their trip by subsidising half of their flight and a third of their hotel expenses.
If you've always wanted to visit Japan, this could be the perfect opportunity to do so.
