Well, if you didn't know, well; now you do.
The people Malaysians admire the most
Global opinion portal YouGov recently ran a poll about who we Malaysians would consider as our role models, and the results are in.
The Most Admired Woman in Malaysia is none other than our darling of pop, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza.
According to YouGov, the 41-year-old scored 18.83 per cent in the admiration score.
"It's an honour to be Malaysia's Most Admired Woman, and I want to thank YouGov and all Malaysians who voted for me.
"I'll continue to do my best in everything and earn the respect of family, friends and fans," the songstress told The New Straits Times.
We guess everyone loves Siti, as she was also the most admired woman in Malaysia last year.
UK-based surgeon Dr Nur Amalina Che Bakri (10.03 per cent) came in second in the survey, while squash champion Datuk Nicol David (6.76 per cent) rounded up the top three.
As for the Most Admired Man title, the honour went to the country's pioneer astronaut Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Sheikh Mustapha.
The 48-year-old scored 10.64 per cent in the admiration score, beating badminton legend Lee Chong Wei (8.88 per cent) and former PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (8.8 per cent) to the title.
"I'm humbled and honoured to win. Thank you so much Malaysians. Love always," he was quoted as saying.
Tun M was the most admired man in Malaysia last year, in case you're wondering.
