We all know what a legendary badminton player Datuk Lee Chong Wei has been.

Hence, it is only natural for the former world number one player who retired in 2019, to receive offers for coaching roles from several countries across the world.

However, Lee is not considering the offers.

In fact, he took to Instagram in a cheeky post where he wrote that he wanted to stay put in the country to enjoy the excitement of Ramadan Bazaars and Aidilfitri open houses.

"I received an offer, of course I still love badminton but at the moment, I do not intend to be a coach.

"I will continue to hang out in Malaysia, attend Ramadan Bazaars and wait for the (Aidilfitri) open house invitations," he wrote.

Prior to this, it was widely reported that several Asian countries had offered Lee offers to be a coach.

In fact, Lee’s former mentor Misbun Sidek had said that Lee should start coaching in few other countries first before coaching in Malaysia.

Whatever path that Lee chooses, we wish him the best of luck!
