Malaysian celebrity chefs that usually come to mind are Chef Wan, MasterChef Australia winner Adam Liaw, and more recently Syabira Yusoff who was crowned as the winner of S13 of the Great British Bake Off.

But what happens when you have celebrities who aren’t exactly good cooks trying to explore new recipes with the help of renowned celebrity chefs? Star vs Food Malaysia which premiered on Astro on 6 April 2021 gave audiences a whole lot of chaos, laughs, and entertainment along the way.

As a result, they have been crowned as the Grand Final Winner of the ‘Best Adaptation of an Existing Format’ category at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) 2022 which was held on 7 December 2022.

Some of the local celebrities that were featured heating things up in the kitchen were singer Alif Satar of One in a Million fame and Datuk Aznil Haji Nawawi, the dashing Bront Palarae who was one of the stars of Ola Bola and Dato’ Chef Ismail, statuesque actress Alicia Amin and Chef Florence Tan as well as the OG comedienne Joanne Kam and Chef Nazri Jameson.
