Sneakerheads, streetwear and fashion connoisseurs, your favourite event is happening once again.

Malaysia's biggest and most anticipated sneaker lifestyle convention, Sneakerlah, is back for the fifth edition.

The long-awaited yearly affair is a one-stop convention for fans to explore, discover, buy, sell, trade, and share the passion of anything and everything tied to sneakers and streetwear.

This year, Sneakerlah returns to its home at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre (MVEC) and will be happening from 5 to 6 October.

Since Sneakerlah first hit Malaysians in 2015, the event has grown by leaps and bounds.

Last year, there was a record attendance of 32,000 people, and is expected to increase even more this year.

"The scene in Malaysia keeps growing year by year and shows no sign of slowing down, and we are committed to grow with the scene while striving to serve the best content for all sneakerheads and fans out there," Sneakerlah founder Bryan Chin said.

"We hope Sneakerlah will one day be a household name not only locally but regionally as well, and to be honest we have already started to attract some attention from our neighboring countries."

At Sneakerlah 2019, attendees will be spoilt for choice as one of the main attractions include an exclusive exhibition by famed South Korean-based artist Rudy, who specialises in deconstructing sneakers.

His signature move is to dissect each layer of a sneaker before carefully constructing them to make what can best be described as an "exploding sneaker". Wait for his live sneaker deconstruct presentation at the event.

Other than that, more notable special guests include Brendan Dunne and Matt Welty of Complex's popular sneaker talk show 'Full Size Run', who will be making appearances on both days of the event and also participate in a panel discussion with other local sneaker personalities.

And wait for it... There will also be a sneaker drop happening for the first time at Sneakerlah!

In case you haven't heard, Asics will be launching a limited edition Gel Kayano 5 OG in a special "Nasi Lemak" colorway and this will only be available exclusively at Sneakerlah.

These sneakers come in very limited quantities and will be available for purchase on a first come first served basis, so be quick on your hands and feet.

Besides that, some of your favourite cult brands will also be making an appearance at Sneakerlah, including Revenge x Storm, New Balance, Carhatt WIP, Chinatown Market, Vans, Reebok, Converse, and local names like Stoned & Co. and Pestle & Mortar.

Of course, one of the biggest draws of Sneakerlah makes another comeback, the marketplace, where you can purchase, sell and trade some of the hottest and rarest sneakers and streetwear items on the market at the moment, with more than 60 vendors and resellers setting up shop.

So bring your best kicks to the event if you're planning on getting some good steals.

Not only that, attendees can also expect the usual trading pits, fashion showcases, contests and lucky draws worth between RM50,000 up to RM230,000 from various brands featured at Sneakerlah 2019.

Last but not least, the good peeps behind Sneakerlah also did not forget the entertainment front.

This year will feature performances by a host of artists and DJs, namely Melissa Jo, Ashley Lau, Aida and Naufal, as well as special live performances and collaborations by Reddi Rocket featuring Lunadira, DJ Biggie featuring Kidd Santhe and Airliftz x Senna.

We trust that all the sneaker enthusiasts around Malaysia and the region are already sitting at the edge of their seats as we speak.
