Malaysian Human Calculator From ‘Asia’s Got Talent’ Scored 8As 1B For PT3 Examination
Remember Malaysia’s very own ‘human calculator’ who took the world (and the internet) by storm earlier this year after he appeared on ‘Asia’s Got Talent’?
15-year-old Yaashwin Sarawanan blew everyone’s mind with his mathematical abilities, and that earned him second place in the third season of ‘Asia’s Got Talent’.
Few months after the grand finale, Yaashwin decided to take a hiatus as he was sitting for his PT3 examinations in October this year.
(Almost) Straight As
Since the results were released today (19 December), Rojak Daily got in touch with the Maverick International Secondary School student to find out how he did.Of course, we were super interested to know if he scored an A for his math paper.
As expected, Yaashwin passed his PT3 with flying colours – he scored 8As and 1B (the B was for his science paper).
When asked how he feels about his results, he says: “Of course I’m happy”.
Taking the math paper is probably a breeze for him, but he humbly said that he’ll never say things are easy, but it was good.
Pressed further about his plans for the future, the math genius told us that he is currently focusing on finishing his book about mental math, which is slated to come out in 2020.

Yaashwin also told us that he decided to change schools (he was previously studying in SMK Bandar Tun Hussein Onn 2) so that he could sit for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams in 2021, skipping the SPM examination.
The math genius plans to pursue his tertiary education overseas, possibly in the United Kingdom.
Nonetheless, congratulations Yaashwin on your well-deserved results! All the best for your future aspirations.
