This Malaysian Model Has Been Featured In Nike’s Hijabi Swimwear Campaign

Nike has been breaking borders and trying to be more inclusive in their activewear line as of late.

From creating the sports hijab and plus-size activewear range, there seems to be no stopping the famed swoosh brand.

And their latest innovation, the Nike Victory Swim Collection, features swimwear for Muslim women and those who are modestly dressed.

Hijabis can expect to find the Nike Victory Full-Coverage Swimsuit, along with swim separate options — the Nike Victory Swim Hijab, the Nike Victory Swim Tunic Top and the Nike Victory Swim Leggings from the collection.

“Inspiration for the collection began with athletes’ passionate responses to the Nike Pro Hijab — and Nike designers’ determination to continue innovating for athletes of all backgrounds, body types, abilities and aspirations,” Nike said in a statement.

You may have seen some official photo of the new swimwear line, but did you know that one of the girls featured is a Malaysian?

Four girls from around the world were selected for this campaign including Zahra Lari (second from left), who is UAE'S skating champ.

Meet Arinna Erin, a model who recently graduated from the Brunel University London with a Master of Science In Business Intelligence and Social Media.

Many Malaysians expressed how proud they were of her achievement and how it was a monumental moment especially for Muslim women.

The Nike Victory Swim Collection will be available on 1 February 2020 in Nike stores worldwide and online.
