More Girl Power: A Malaysian Is Listed On Forbes’ 30 Under 30 2019 List
Two years ago, two Malaysians made headlines when they were listed in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list.
Both Malaysians are well known and have a large following – Vivy Yusof and Neelofa. The two business moguls were recognised for their businesses, FashionValet and Naelofar Hijab, respectively.
And last year, another celebrity also made the list: singer Shila Amzah. Shila left a mark in the entertainment industry after successfully becoming the first Malay artiste to penetrate the Chinese market.
So, you must be wondering: whill another Malaysian grace the 2019 list?
The answer is yes, because Malaysia will always boleh!
28-year-old Kimberly Ho landed a spot on the coveted list in the ‘Immigrants’ category.
She was honoured for being the co-founder of her company, Evereden, which produces natural, non-toxic skincare products for children.
According to the magazine, she has raised USD2 million (RM8,387,400) through her products and have received accolades from make up brands Vogue and Bobbi Brown.
What’s even more inspiring is that she only started her business in March 2018.
Ho moved to the US when she was 18 years old to study economics at Standford University.
After working for a few investment firms in the US, she decided to quit her job and started Evereden with her husband after realising that a lot of baby products in the US contained a lot of toxic chemicals.
Wow, not only did she start a business that’s doing very well, her products are helping the environment and babies.
Good job, Kimberly, we Malaysians are so proud of you.
