The news triggered Malaysians who watched our mailmen working so hard, especially throughout the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

Netizens who sympathised with the plight of our mailmen then suggested that we start tipping our Abang Posmen or PosLaju no matter how small or big the amount is, especially with the upcoming festive season.

Many echoed the same sentiments and also shared their deed on social media.

Aku ada terfikir yg if Pos Malaysia tak bagi diorang bonus, why not kita yg bagi mereka bonus (tips). The random act of kindness was perhaps inspired by a similar movement when the MCO first started where netizens were tipping their food delivery riders.

Pos Malaysia have recently addressed the no bonus issue, but netizens still aren’t pleased and have decided to extend a helping hand instead.

Well, it doesn’t hurt to give a small token of appreciation to our hardworking Abang PosLaju or Posmen who frequently appear at your doorstep come rain or shine.
