The New Robot Smartphone That (Probably) Won't Reach Malaysia
Electronics giant Sharp is releasing a new smartphone this May 26, but they’re not looking to emulate those that are already in the market. Nah, they’re going to release a phone that actually looks like a mini robot called the RoBoHon.
RoBoHon doesn’t come cheap, though. It will be sold at USD$1,800 (a whopping RM7,046.55). Not bad for something that looks so cute.
It weighs around 390 grams, so it’s not very light, and is 19.5cm tall. It functions just like any other smartphone, with the added bonus of a projector instead of the traditional screen. It answers your demands through voice recognition, and also moves around! This video basically sums up everything it can do (and will make you feel like you’re watching a live action version of an anime).
Sadly, there is no news about it being sold anywhere else except for Japan, so don’t put high expectations for it to come here.
Other specs:
• Runs Android 5.0 Lollipop
• Powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 2GB of RAM
16GB internal storage
• 8-megapixel camera
• Projector is capable of projecting a 1,280 x 720 resolution display on walls

We can't decide which one is more adorable (Image: www.endgadget.com)

We hope that in the future, smartphones can look like these figurines too (hint hint):
