Most people would cancel their vaccination appointments if it coincidently falls on the same day as their wedding.

That’s not the case with Fazira Asmawati Muhd Razali.

The new bride went to Dewan Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah’s PPV centre in Kuantan, Pahang to get jabbed with her second dose of vaccination, right after completing their wedding at Masjid Negeri Sultan Ahmad 1.

According to a report in mStar, Fazira Asmawati initially wanted to go alone to get jabbed while her husband waited in the car.

However, the PPV’s supervisor had other plans as he asked her to bring her husband along.

The newlyweds were received with silat by one of the PPV staff and the sound of kompang was also played when Fazira Asmawati was getting jabbed.

The atmosphere looked like a scene from the wedding, as depicted in a video posted by Fazira Asmawati on her Instagram, as it was Merdeka Day and all the PPV staff were clad in traditional clothes.

“It felt like a real wedding procession where the bride and groom were ushered to the pelamin.

“Coincidentally, it was Merdeka Day, so all of the workers at the PPV are wearing traditional clothes like Baju Melayu and Baju Kurung which made them look like they’re guests at a wedding ceremony.

“We were also greeted with congratulatory messages from the workers as we walked around the PPV centre,” she was quoted as saying.

She added that she almost cancelled the vaccination appointment but decided against it as her husband said it might take a while to get a new date for her second dose.

Glad she went ahead with it. Congratulations to the couple!
