Penang Hot Air Balloon Fiesta Set To Land In February 2019

Penangites, something exciting is floating to you soon!

The Penang Hot Air Balloon Festival is making its return in 2019, so it’s time to block your calendars and make a trip to the Pearl of the Orient (if you’re not a local).

The festival is set to put on a colourful show with myriads of balloons of all shapes and sizes adorning the Penang sky.

The event will be happening from 9-10 February 2019 at Penang’s Polo Field in George Town from 7am-9pm.

State Heritage, Culture and Arts Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin told Bernama that the public will be able to participate in various family-friendly activities and creative workshops at the fiesta, which is in its fifth installment.

15 local and international balloons will treat spectators to an eyegasm so be ready to get your cameras and Instagram account ready!

Entrance is free, so there’s no excuse to not go to this fiesta. Plus, it’s a good excuse to organise a road trip to eat all the awesome, wholesome food that awaits you in Penang.
