Fedya was found by Natalia Zhdanova in her backyard as a few days old, sick kitten.
Zhdanova said the kitten had misaligned eyes that gave him the look of being startled. According to a report in People.com, Fedya also had some problems with his back legs.
However, the 40-year-old nursed the kitten back to health and had some help from her neighbour’s cat, Handsome.
Healthy and thriving
“He was very weak and was dying. Handsome cleaned and licked Fedya and became like a father figure to him.”
Fast forward to now, Fedya is one year and nine months old, and as healthy as he can be. Despite that, the startled expression remains until now.
Zhdanova said that she’s not sure if the condition was due to genetic deformity or if Fedya was dropped as a kitten.
“Now he is much healthier. He is a very sweet, gentle, playful, and intelligent cat. He purrs very loudly.
“He is inseparable with Handsome. They are the best of friends.”
Fedya is now Insta-famous and has over 37,000 followers and own merchandise.
