Rojak Daily's Weekend Agenda - March 11 & 12
SATURDAY (11TH MARCH)

10:00 AM – Breakfast: unleash your inner science geek at Chemistry Café+Lab
This one-of-a-kind café boasts a selection of breakfast foods, cakes and pastries served in laboratory apparatus (it’s as hipster as it gets). They also serve pastas and pizzas, if you’re the kind to have that for breakfast. Their eccentric interior and unique food presentation is guaranteed to make your Instagram feed look good.
11:30 AM – Drive laps at City Karting, Shah Alam
What better way to begin the weekend than with some adrenaline rush! City Karting offers four different models of Karts, one of which is a double-seater. So if you’re out on a date and don’t want to end up with the possibility of being a sore loser, this is definitely for you. Each session lasts about 10 minutes (5-10 laps, depending on your go-karting skill).
4:10 PM – Watch Kong: Skull Island (GSC Setia City Mall)
We were practically kids when we first watched King Kong in 2005, and instead of feeling terrified of a giant hairy ape, we were actually quite amused and wanted one as a pet. Anyways – back to the latest movie which features our dream pet and dream man Tom Hiddleston – Kong: Skull Island (release date: 9th March 2017) is about a team of explorers who, in discovering the island, realise that Kong is not the only mysterious creature living on that island. Dun dun dun!
6:20 PM – Catch Yuna, Oh Chentaku and many other acts at the Lovelifestival, Setia City Park
Featuring more than 12 bands and singers, this festival is all about great music, artisanal food and lifestyle goods (think streetwear, Tumblr-esque pins, terrariums, craft pieces and the works). If you’d like, there is also a footie game booth (all day), music workshop (12-2pm) and terrariums workshop (3-5pm)!SUNDAY (12TH MARCH)

10:30 AM – Breakfast: have crepes at Strangers at 47
This café is within two kilometres (5-minute drive or 12-minute walk) from the next couple of places to visit (plus points for convenience!) and is famous for their fusion crepes that are served both sweet and savoury. On the drinks menu, the standard list of coffees and teas are available, as well as handcrafted sodas and smooshies. The crepes are reasonably priced, between RM9 to RM26, at this 2016 Time Out KL Best Café. Also, do keep a lookout for the re-introduction of their roasted chicken menu!
12:00 PM – Jump and bounce around at Jumpstreet Trampoline Park
We’re sure all of you have at least heard of this place, if not been here, because where else do you have to pay to jump? Hah! But in all seriousness, if you haven’t been to Jumpstreet, you’re really missing out on life. This is undoubtedly one of the most popular places to go with friends because – well, you get to jump. And before you head on to what’s next on the agenda, you gotta work up an appetite so be sure to do as many backflips as you need to.

1:30 PM – Hop over (if you didn’t get enough of jumping) to Markets@Jaya One
Now that you’ve lost all sensation in your legs, it’s time to head over next-door where Markets is back with a barista-themed bazaar! From lifestyle items to coffee appreciation workshops and even a latte art throwdown, there’s something brewing for all of you at Jaya One this weekend. No need for a sit-down lunch as there will be food trucks serving plenty of food and drinks here!

3:00 PM – Relax with a cocktail in hand at The Social’s Sunday Sundown
After stuffing yourself with good food and coffee at Markets, what could be more perfect than enjoying the relaxing music played live by The Social’s in-house DJ while sipping on a glass of cocktail (with over 10 to choose from, including a Salted Caramel Martini and a sexily named, X-Rated Flirtini)? If alcohol isn’t really your thing, there are fresh juices and smoothies on the menu. They also have a range of coffee to choose from, but you wouldn’t want any more of that after Markets, would you? Don’t worry about feeling too lazy to get up from your seat, as next up on the itinerary is super exciting and is happening just around the corner.
