Savour Classic Italian Dishes in the Heart of KL at Nook, Aloft KL Sentral's Viva La Feast Dinner Buffet
If you’re looking for a buffet that offers something different from the usual spreads of Asian and Western cuisine, look no further than Nook at Aloft KL Sentral’s Viva La Feast Dinner Buffet.
The feast takes diners on a culinary journey and celebrates authentic Italian flavours. It features signature dishes from the renowned Prego Westin Desaru, curated meticulously by Chef Faizul, Jr., Sous Chef at Prego Westin Desaru, and Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral’s Executive Chef, Muhammad Norhanis Nordin.
Chef Muhammad Norhanis Nordin stated that his vision for this gastronomic event was to bring the beloved Italian dishes from Prego Westin Desaru to Kuala Lumpur customers.
The dedication to authenticity and culinary excellence is evident in every dish, from its range of warm and cold antipasti.
One of our favourites was the Anatra Tonnata, which features sliced smoked duck breast with tuna mayo, capers, and parsley sauce—the ingredients paired perfectly for a scrumptious bite.
The main courses had something for everyone! From the Pollo E Funghi (Roasted Chicken with Mushroom Sauce), which consists of succulent roasted chicken with a rich mushroom sauce, to the Pollo Cacciatore, which features juicy chicken breast paired with a creamy charcoal mash.
Seafood lovers can indulge in its mouthwatering Impepata di Cozze E Vongole (Mussels with Tomato Cream Sauce), which features mussels coated in a beautiful tomato sauce.
One of our favourites of the night was the Tuscan Roasted Lamb Leg with Salsa Verde. The rich and tender lamb mixed perfectly with the fresh and tangy salsa verde for a complex and flavourful bite.
The Agnello in Casseruola (Lamb Stew with Mint Sauce) was another option for lamb lovers and this consisted of a comforting blend of tender lamb and zesty sauce.
Meanwhile, vegetarians are not restricted to the salad bar, as the feast also includes dishes such as Parmigiana Di Melanzane (Baked Eggplant Parmigiana) and the Lasagna Napoletana (Vegetable Lasagna) which features layers of roasted vegetables and creamy cheese.
What’s an Italian feast without pizza and pasta? Viva La Feast offers various pizza options, like the Diavola, which has tomato sauce, beef pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese, and the classic Margherita.
Pasta fans can look forward to a live cooking station, where guests can enjoy the sight and aroma of chefs preparing mouthwatering pasta dishes right in front of them including classics such as carbonara and aglio olio.
The desserts also do not disappoint. Classic Italian desserts like Tiramisu are joined by other delicious treats such as Blackberry Zabaglione, Chocolate Torta Della Nonna, and Strawberry Parfait with Vin Santo, Mascarpone, and biscotti.
There’s also an assortment of Mini Bombolini with assorted fillings (Chocolate, Marmalade, Vanilla & Berries), a popcorn stand and some warm chocolate pudding to cap the night on a sweet ending.
The Viva La Feast Dinner Buffet runs from July 18 to August 30, 2024, and is available every Thursday to Saturday from 6 pm to 10 pm and is priced at RM148 nett per pax.
We think it's a must-try for food enthusiasts and anyone looking to indulge in authentic Italian cuisine right in the heart of the city.
