Shopping at the Super Expensive Isetan the Japan Store: Something for Every Budget

Angelina Yap 22/11/2016 | 02:30 MYT
The brand new Isetan The Japan Store at Lot 10, KL, is the first of its kind in the world, aside from its smaller counterpart located at the other side of the world in Paris, France.
Step into Isetan the Japan Store and you will be transported into a deparmental store unlike any other in Malaysia. Occupying six stories, this one-of-a-kind store offers lots to eat and see… including items that you never knew you wanted. From fashion, beauty and lifestyle to tech products and books, more than 200 Japanese brands are being sold here.
Each floor is designed to generate its own distinctive appeal: The Market (experience the seasonal flavours), The Museum (experience the ultimate Japan), The Studio (experience the fashion live), The Room (experience the grateful lifestyle), The Cube (experience the inspiring culture) and The Table (experience the premium dining), which is set to open early next year for business.
While the store is a must visit for its unique concept and Japan-imported goods, there’s one problem – things here are expensive! Some of the items sold here can cost you an arm, a leg, a kidney… you get the gist.
Alas, not all hope is lost for those of us who live on chap fan and roti canai – although, your options are quite limited lah. For your shopping benefit, we’ve rounded up the best things you can indulge in at Isetan the Japan Store according to different budgets. Happy shopping!
