The first day of the holy month of Ramadan began on 11 March and it is also the time to break fast and gather with beloved family and friends. However, it can also be a bother to rack your brains to think what to cook next.

Happily, X user @JatIkhwan asked netizens for their suggestions for cooking content creators who produce simple and delicious recipes without cringe-worthy content and they happily obliged. See this list below on who to follow for recipes to whip up for your next meal:
  1. Che Nom

This engineer-turned-food blogger boasts a whopping 2.1 million subscribers on YouTube. The soft-spoken Norma Bakar, who is better known by Che Nom is known for her easy-to-follow recipes and refers to herself as an online mum for anyone who wants to learn how to cook on YouTube. Her popular recipes include ayam masak merah, no-bake Oreo cheesecake, and her latest creation includes ayam percik so you don’t even have to get it from a Ramadan bazaar *drools*.

  1. Adikfoods

Faezah binti Sufian who claims to be not a chef, was encouraged by her children who started her Instagram account in 2016. She shares recipes that she uses in her everyday life and from her childhood hence the name AdikFoods, as ‘Adik’ was her nickname amongst her family members. Her strengths are in kampung-style cooking but she also churns out fusion dishes with a touch of Western. A word of warning though, she does tend to use a lot of sponsored items in her videos. Some of her recipes are Ayam Cincang Pedas, Murtabak Kambing Sambal Hitam & Kacang Kuda, and Ikan Billis White Pepper. Tuck in!

  1. Limau Nipis

Hidayah Sazli, better known by her page’s name Limau Nipis is another engineer turned homecook. Finding a lack of cooking influencers who speak Malay, she decided to share her simple recipes online.
