In a bid to take back what they're owed, Ah Longs in Singapore have come up with an evil but, we have to say, very creative way to harass their victims: by making a lot of food orders online and delivering them to their victims.

Bonus: all these orders are cash-on-delivery.

According to Mothership SG, a HDB unit in Singapore received multiple food delivery orders allegedly made by an Ah Long on 31 May.

The report, which quoted Chinese news portal Shin Min Daily News (Shin Min), the orders were placed by one 'Saju Man' on food delivery platform Foodpanda, and the payment mode was cash-on-delivery.

One delivery rider, who goes by the name of Chen Jiaheng, reportedly arrived at the HDB unit with a SGD72 (RM224) order of fish and chips and chicken baked rice - only to find three other food delivery riders waiting outside the unit.

Chen told Shin Min Daily that a chat with the other delivery riders revealed that they were forced to wait outside the unit because the owner refused to accept the orders because they did not make them.

Police are investigating

The news portal reported that a total ten delivery riders were ordered to deliver food to the unit.

The bill for the food came up to around SGD1,000 (RM3,110).

The Singaporean police have been alerted about the incident, and they are reportedly investigating the case as intentional harassment.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that a residential unit had received multiple food delivery orders allegedly made by an unlicensed moneylender. The police are looking into the matter," they were quoted by the news portal as saying.
