However, riders who work tirelessly to deliver your food or grocery to your doorstep are often overlooked.
But in Singapore, a Japanese fashion brand has decided to reward these unsung heroes.
Thanking the unsung heroes
In a kind gesture, UNIQLO Singapore has decided to reward Foodpanda riders by keeping them safe during their delivery rounds.
According to Mashable SEA, the brand gave away 13,000 AIRism masks in a collaborative effort between both companies.
The distribution, said UNIQLO Singapore, is a way to thank the riders for being Singapore's "true heroes" amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The generous act was shared on UNIQLO Singapore’s Instagram page:
Prior to this, both companies also worked together to distribute a 3-in-1 "Life Packages" consisting of a UNIQLO Eco Bag, and Foodpanda vouchers to Singaporeans for them to adapt to the new normal.
Considering that the AIRism face masks are flying off the shelves, we think it's awesome that UNIQLO Singapore has decided to reward the hardworking delivery riders.
Speaking of unsung heroes, Legoland Malaysia recently unveiled murals made out of LEGO bricks to pay tribute to these unsung heroes too:
