Times are tough, so it's not unusual to see Malaysians working two jobs to make ends meet.

One of them is former Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

Supporting local

Syed recently announced that he has become a business partner for AirAsia Bhd’s food and beverage brand, Santan.

He took to his social media pages to share the news:

According to a report by Malay Mail, Syed's first Santan restaurant will be located at 163 Retail Park in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.

The 28-year-old told the news portal that he has always wanted to open his own business, and chose the popular brand because they put in an incredible effort in helping local cuisines as well as Malaysians as a whole.

During the announcement, Syed also teased his upcoming campaign called #SADDIQsapotLOKAL .

Although the campagin is still in its infancy stages, he mentioned that the campaign will see him as business partner to small and medium businesses.

Helping the youth.
“The campaign involves me offering myself to become a business partner to small and medium businesses out there.”

“This campaign will focus on providing job and business opportunities to the youth,” he was quoted as saying.

Good luck, YB!
