Under Armour Kicked Our Butts To Announce UA Combine the Ultimate Fitness Competition

Between gasping breaths we spoke to Under Armour Malaysia's representatives who explained that UA Combine will allow athletes from any sport or training discipline to compete against others in their country and truly test their limits.

The competition is split into Individual Divisions (separated into Men and Womens) and Teams (in teams of 4) with prize money of RM3,000, RM7,500, and RM15,000 for 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place respectively in the Individual Divisions. Teams will win a UA team pack worth RM6,000.

While laying down on the ground drowning in a pool of sweat, we read the event documentation that revealed there are 8 tests that participants of the competition will go through:

• Strength (3RM Bench Press)
• Speed (40 yard dash)
• Vertical (standing vertical leap)
• Power (20m sled pull)
• Agility (arrowhead change of direction speed)
• Cognition (reaction inhibition test)
• Stamina (strict pullups for reps)
• Endurance (20m multistage fitness test)

From our prone position we learn that these test are the same ones that Under Armour puts their athletes like Stephen Curry through to gauge their fitness.

Winners will be decided based on scoring by judges. Depending on how you perform on each test you'll be given a score and you will be ranked according to that score.

Points are awarded based on your rank obtained in each test. If the points and ranks and scores confuses you, basically, beat the highest benchmark at each test and you'll win.
