Do you want to do something charitable but don't know what?

Why not take part in a virtual run to help defeat cancer?

Literally run for your life

Cancer Research Malaysia (CRMY) has just launched their ‘Run For Our Lives’ virtual run in conjunction with ‘Reverse Cancer Day’ (RCD).

RCD is celebrated on the 2 April, which is the reverse of World Cancer Day, which falls on 4 February (hence the name 'Reverse Cancer Day').

A landmark initiative by CRMY, the ‘Run For Our Lives’ virtual run aims to raise funds for ongoing research efforts that could improve cancer outcomes, especially among Asians.

The campaign drives home the message that future generations could live in a world where cancer can be affordably controlled and no longer feared, through impactful cancer research.

For the fourth year now, RCD has had a single mission: to increase knowledge and support for Asian-focused research that will aid cancer prevention, detection, and treatment, which will lead to better cancer survivorship in the long run.

CRMY will also announce a series of fun, yet easy-to-follow social media challenges leading up to the virtual run:

All you need to do is to run a total of 3km (easy peasy, right?) from 2 to 16 April, and you're done.

You can choose to sign up for as low as RM28, opt for a full kit consisting of a medal and a microfibre T-shirt (which looks pretty cool, we must say) for RM55 or choose to donate any amount you wish to.

Not just that; because we love you guys so much, insert the code 'RCR25RD' during check-out to register the run for just RM25.

However, you better be quick because the redemption is open to just the first five people, so don't miss the chance.

Additionally, if you run a business and would like to sponsor the run in support of critical research by CRMY, write to the team at [email protected]
