Malaysian theme park brand ESCAPE Penang breaks the record once again as they launch the world’s longest Zip Coaster at a whopping 1.1km

Longest Zip Coaster in Malaysia.

This is in addition to their first Guinness World Records for the world’s longest water slide in 2019 beating its competitors from all around the globe.

The ground-breaking achievement was officiated by the Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang, T.Y.T. Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak, alongside Sim Choo Kheng, Founder and CEO of Sim Leisure Group; Pravin Patel, Guinness World Records Adjudicator and sponsors. The T.Y.T himself together with the adjudicator gave the ride a try themselves and finished it with beaming expressions.

Guinness World Record of the Longest Zip Coaster

Officially, ESCAPE Penang is now proudly the first and only theme park brand to earn not one, but two standing Guinness World Records -— an outstanding feat for Sim Leisure Group, which also owns and operates multiple theme parks around the world.

The Zip Coaster is a unique combination of a zip line and a roller coaster which proves to be a valuable addition to the diverse range of attractions at the theme park and puts Penang on the world map as the home of the longest Zip Coaster in the world.

As theme park fans ourselves, we were thrilled to experience the Zip Coaster firsthand. Lasting about 6 minutes, the Zip Coaster brings you on a scenic ride through lush greenery.

The ride offers a new kind of experience akin to riding a hanging roller coaster at thrilling speed but surrounded by the beautiful landscape of Teluk Bahang. Safe to say that our writer loved it; maybe even a bit too much as he went for another round right after.

So if you’re an adrenaline junkie yearning for a new adventure, then the ZIp Coaster might just satisfy your thirst for speed and excitement.
