Weirdest Book Title of the Year
Every year, the guys from The Bookseller (a British magazine reporting news on the publishing industry) and the Diagram Group (an information and graphics company based in London) come together for the Bookseller/Diagram Prize for Oddest Title of the Year. This honest-to-God actual award was initially organized as a form of entertainment for the 1978 Frankfurt Book Fair and the winner was picked by a panel of judges since its initiation all the way till 2000. After which, the winner is decided via a public vote on The Bookseller’s website.
The first winner ever for this award which celebrates weird, strange or downright confusing book titles went to, ‘Proceedings of the Second International Workshop on Nude Mice’ in 1978. Some of this year’s finalists include:

Soviet Bus Stops

Transvestite Vampire Biker Nuns from Outer Space: A Consideration of Cult Film

Reading from Behind: A Cultural History of the Anus
But there can only be one winner and the highest amount of votes went to...

Alan Stafford’s Too Naked for the Nazis
And here are some of our favourite winners of the past:
