What's This Whole Clear Coffee Thing Everyone On The Internet Is Talking About?

The past couple of days, the whole world was taken by storm by the gastronomical world’s latest marvel – Clear Coffee, the world's first colourless coffee.
This bottled coffee which bears an uncanny resemblance to your ordinary mineral water bottle has sent our collective taste buds and minds into a haywire.
Looks CAN be deceiving.
Imagine being so thirsty and you see this bottled water lying around, only to find out after taking a sip that it tastes exactly like coffee.
That experience won’t be a pleasant one, especially for those who hate or can’t drink coffee.
Nope, nope, nope.
Everyone’s been trying to figure out this was possible; a drink we’ve known all our lives now looks like water.
Did it require a lot of canggih equipment? Are there any hazardous chemicals in it? What on Earth went through the minds of two Slovakian brothers who created this thing?
Meet the
According to a statement from the company, Clr Cff, “This refreshing beverage is made from high quality Arabica coffee beans and pure water. It is produced by methods which have never been used before. Due to this combination of technology and high quality ingredients a drink has been developed which is unique in taste and flavour. Our product does not contain preservatives, artificial flavours, stabilizers, sugar or any other sweeteners.”
The drink also promises to not leave any coffee residues on your teeth like your normal coffee does.

So, what actually is in this clear-coloured coffee?
According to their ingredients list listed on their website, the coffee contains water, fresh coffee, and caffeine – which is pretty vague, in our opinion.
The drink has 50mg of caffeine which led to some people deducting that the actual amount of coffee in this drink is quite minimal.
What do you think?

How is it made?

Although Clear Coffee founders David and Adam Nagy don’t exactly intend to disclose how they ended up making the coffee clear, some people quickly revealed that the method has actually been around for some time.
An avid coffee lover and Starbucks barrista claims that the reason coffee is brown is because the beans are roasted, so if you "process the coffee without roasting the beans, the resulting liquid is clear.”
Do other baristas agree with this?
However, in an interview with Buzzfeed Food, David Nagy revealed: "We process the roasted coffee beans within one week after they are roasted. The production process takes approximately three hours.”
Which kind of brings us back to a dead end.

Million dollar question: What does it taste like?

Some people claim it tastes like “potent cold brew”. While others didn't have a “tasteful experience.”
That weird coffee diluted with water after taste.
The sad news is, Clear Coffee is only available in the UK at the moment, but given the chance, would you try this odd-looking coffee?
