Malaysia is already home to several fun theme parks such as Legoland, Sanrio Hello Kitty Town, and what should have been 20th Century Fox’s first ever theme park.

And if you’re still bummed out about the whole Genting vs Fox/Disney debacle which caused the hilltop resort to scrap plans to build the theme park, worry not because another franchise theme park is coming to Malaysia.

It has been confirmed the very first ever Hasbro Water Theme Park is set to open in Kuala Linggi, Melaka by 2022.

According to the Edge Markets, an MOU for the project has been signed between Hasbro Inc and Meridian Group, who will be teaming up with M101 Group to build the theme park.

M101 Group is the company behind the upcoming Monopoly Mansion at the M101 Bukit Bintang, which also happens be the world’s first ever Monopoly hotel.

According to the news portal, the RM80 million waterpark will be developed over 20 acres within the Malaysia Tourism City (MTC) in Kota Linggi.

“The water park will be 20 acres in size, offering a wide range of branded new rides that are not available in other parks of the world,” Meridian Bhd executive director Datuk Seth Yap told reporters.

So, what can you expect at the Hasbro waterpark?

We hope they make this ride in real life.
Park visitors can look forward to themed attractions and rides from licensed intellectual properties such as My Little Pony, Nerf, Transformers, G.I Joe, Play-Doh, Monopoly, and many more.

Well, sounds exciting, doesn't it? Only three more years to go, guys!
