ZUS Coffee Debuts New Cham Latte Series Inspired by Beloved M’sian Drink

This new addition to ZUS Coffee's menu pays homage to the beloved Malaysian tradition of cham, a unique blend of tea and coffee cherished by generations. Cham represents the perfect fusion of flavours, with its harmonious balance of robust coffee and delicate tea. It also symbolises unity by combining two distinct elements to create something truly special.

The Cham Latté combines high-quality coffee's rich, bold taste with premium tea leaves' smooth, soothing flavours. This carefully crafted blend features three types of tea leaves: Jasmine, Oolong, and White Peach Oolong. Customers can also enjoy it as a traditional cham or as a milk tea.

We tried all three versions, and each had its own unique and distinctive taste, from the flowery aromatics of Jasmine tea to the stronger and bolder Oolong. The White Peach Oolong is a unique combination of the bitterness of coffee and the sweetness of White Peach Oolong. Our personal favourite was the Jasmine, which was extremely fragrant and tasted floral!

Co-founder and Head of Barista Terence Ho said, "We are excited to introduce the Cham Latté, our take on a beloved Malaysian drink at local kopitiams adapted for the modern taste.”

“By using first-brewed premium tea leaves and strong coffee beans, we have created a beverage that is both familiar and innovative, providing a special experience that honours our Malaysian heritage," added Ho.

Meanwhile, the launch of the Cham Latté also kicks off the countdown for ZUS Coffee’s Made In Malaysia nationwide tour, which will first kick off in Kuching, Sarawak, in the latter part of August 2024 and will tour all parts of Malaysia, including Sabah and other states in Peninsular Malaysia.
