This 14-Year-Old Genius Is Now A Part-Time University Lecturer

Meet Yasha Asley, a 14-year-old student who has been employed by the University of Leicester to work as a part-time lecturer, making him the youngest lecturer in the world!

Every week, Yasha conducts tutorials after regular lectures for older students who are facing trouble solving math problems.

According to a report by UK's The Sun, he scored the part-time job when he was only 13 years old!

The university also happens to be the place where Yasha is currently pursuing his math degree, which he enrolled into when he was 12.

The child genius is in his final year now and is already planning to pursue a PhD when he completes his degree.

Most of us were still struggling with the concept of math at that age and this kid is already graduating soon and teaching students twice his age. Talk about an overachiever!

“I am having the best years of my life. I love going to university and I love my new job helping other students,” Yasha told The Sun.

Closer to home, we've also seen a couple of child math prodigies in recent years.

In 2009, Perak-born Adi Putra Abd Ghani made waves for his speed and skills at solving complicated math problems when he was just 10 years old.

According to Yahoo News, Adi Putra reportedly invented 235 brand new mathematical formulas and published 12 of them into a book titled ‘Seni Matematik Islam’ (The Art of Islamic Mathematics). He was also invited to give lectures in several local universities at the time.

Last year, another young Malaysian math genius also made headlines all around.

Omar Raiyan Azlan, a top math scorer in school who is living in Abu Dhabi with his family, was able to solve a Rubik’s Cube in a mere 40 seconds!

Not only is he brilliant with numbers, Omar also happens to be a football prodigy when he made the Abu Dhabi Manchester City team at a tender age of nine!

Due to his skills, he was awarded Player of the Season by Manchester City in 2015.
