16,000 Malaysians Walked 1.87 Million Kilometres In Support Of Heart Patients

Over 16,000 Malaysians walked a total of over 1.87 million kilometres to spread awareness and raise funds for heart patients. 

Malay Mail reported that the Walk A Million Miles month-long virtual event was initiated by Nestlé Omega Plus with the aim to encourage Malaysians to walk daily and practise a healthy lifestyle as well as to support heart patients in need.

Via the programme, Nestlé Omega Plus donated RM50,000 each to Yayasan Jantung Malaysia (YJM) and Institut Jantung Negara Foundation (IJNF).

In support of heart patients

Beneficiaries of the donation are heart patients who are trying to live their lives to the fullest.

Funds for those with heart issues.
Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad chief executive officer Juan Aranols said that the event was a meaningful way to mark the 20th anniversary of the campaign.

“At Nestlé Omega Plus, we’re extremely proud of this result, which reflects our commitment to having an impact on the health of Malaysians.

“The event has helped increase awareness on heart health," he said.

The campaign has ended but it's a reminder to us to keep active, stay healthy and take care of our hearts.
