If you haven’t heard already, the 2026 Winter Olympics will be hosted by Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo in Italy.

This would be the country's third time hosting the Winter Olympics.

According to a report by AFP, the International Olympic Committee members gave the Italian bid the nod by 47 votes to 34.

This is the third time this country is hosting the Winter Olympics.
“Congratulations to Milan-Cortina d’Ampezzo. We can expect a great and memorable Winter Games in a country with a tradition of winter sports,” IOC president Thomas Bach said.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said the country is very proud of the result.

"Italy has won, all the country will work together with the ambition to succeed and give everyone a memorable sporting event," he said on Twitter.

The 2026 Winter Olympics will take place from 6 to 22 February.

Will Malaysia ever have the chance to host the Olympics then? Since hosting the Winter Olympics is pretty much impossible... right?
