When we were seven years old, the things we would consider as an achievement at that age are 1) ride a bike without training wheels, 2) successfully learning how to read and count in standard one, and 3) build our very own Barbie playhouse.

But for C. Sree Abiraame, at that tender age, she helped put Malaysia on the ice skating map while bagging a few medals in the process.

The little star recently bagged not one, but five gold medals and one silver medal for Malaysia in the ice skating rink at the 14th Ice Skating Institute (ISI) Asia Skate Beijing 2019 championship in China.

She won gold medals in the artistic, solo competition, FS1, speed racing, and open FS bronze category, while a silver medal in the footwork category.

And this isn’t her first time making Malaysia proud on the international arena; she previously won five gold medals at the Middle East 4th official ISI International Figure Skating tournament held at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi back in February.

So, can you imagine how amazing this little prodigy is by winning another six medals in just a span of two months since her first win of the year. Who knows, she could be the next Julian Yee, or maybe even better.

In a video posted on her Facebook page, Sree thanked everyone including our Prime Minister for supporting her.

“I thank all of you for your blessing and support. Thank you, Malaysia and our Prime Minister, Tun Mahathir.”

All the best Sree! Who knows, in a few years’ time, you'll be competing in the Olympics. We are proud of you!
