The Abdullah Hukum Pedestrian Bridge Reportedly Took 20 Years To Build
If you frequently hang out at Mid Valley Megamall (or you work there), you should know by now that there's a new pedestrian bridge that will make your life easier.
The pedestrian bridge links the Abdullah Hukum LRT and KTM stations with Mid Valley Megamall.
But did you guys know that the pedestrian bridge is 20 years old?
A long way coming

The Abdullah Hukum LRT station started operations in 1999, the same year that Mid Valley Megamall opened.
Despite it being one of the biggest shopping malls in the city centre at the moment, the idea of building a pedestrian bridge was not at the top of the developer's mind.
Eco City to the rescue
The idea for the linkway only came after SP Setia Bhd started developing KL Eco City, which sits between Mid Valley and the train stations.
After several delays, the life-changing pedestrian bridge is finally open for business on Friday (15 November).
Previously, commuters would have use an old bridge located several hundred meters away from the LRT station to get across to The Gardens Mall.

Such convenience, right?
With the opening of the bridge, the LRT ridership, which is currently 330,000 per working day, is set to increase, the news portal reported.
The bridge will be opened from 6am to 1am daily, so yay! You don't need to spend 30 minutes looking for parking in the basement anymore.
