Now everyone can balik kampung!

Two questions that usually pop into one's mind when they want to balik kampung for Hari Raya are how and how much.

Thankfully, AirAsia managed to answer both questions with just one announcement.

On Wednesday, the lowcost airline announced special late night flights for the Raya holidays.

AirAsia Malaysia chief executive officer Riad Asmat told The Star Online that the Balik Raya flights were introduced to help the rakyat travel back to their hometowns without spending a bomb on flight tickets.

So, the fares start at a very low fixed price of RM99 for selected routes within Peninsular Malaysia, and RM149 from KL to Kuching.

That sounds like a pretty reasonable deal.


The flights will be available for sale starting 12 June all the way to 19 June.

Also, the deal is only applicable for new bookings and subject to availability, so if you have yet to settle your mode of transportation for your balik kampung trip, we suggest that you camp in front of your laptop next week.
