AirAsia Is The World’s Best Low-Cost Airline For The 10th Time In A Row

A lot of people (including us) had wonderful memories in almost every corner of the world thanks to AirAsia.

And perhaps due to their pocket-friendly tickets and amazing service, they have been awarded Skytrax’s World’s Best Low-Cost Airline for the 10^th consecutive year.

Dubbed the “Oscars of the aviation industry”, this prestigious award is awarded to the who’s who of the aviation industry with the highest merit taking account millions of customer feedbacks and surveys.

“This moment feels surreal. I remember the ecstatic feeling of being named the world’s best low-cost airline for the very first time 10 years ago.”

“I would have never imagined we would remain the world’s best for a decade. Thank you for your tremendous love and support,” AirAsia co-founder and AirAsia Group Berhad executive chairman Datuk Kamarudin Meranun said in a statement.

AirAsia’s sister airline, AirAsia X was also awarded two merits – the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline Premium Cabin and Asia’s Best Low-Cost Airline award.

AirAsia placed 28^th in the top 100 airlines in the world while its sister AirAsia X placed 47^th. The other homegrown airline, Malaysia Airlines, placed 34^th.
