AirAsia has helped millions of passengers satisfy their wanderlust, giving them affordable access to a myriad of exotic and cultural locations. From the enchanting Maldives and Mauritius to various parts of India and China, it looks like AirAsia isn’t slowing down and will be adding another new route to their repertoire. For the past few months, travelers have been speculating new possible routes that AirAsia may offer such as Frankfurt, the United States – Hawaii for a start, and also reinstate their London route.

Today, backpackers, holiday-goers, and adventure-seekers have their prayers answered after AirAsia X announced that they will be operating four weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur to Honolulu, Hawaii, slated to kick off on June 28th.

Asia’s biggest low-cost carrier will start off the sale of the new route with a promotional offer of as low as RM499 (all-in, one way) for bookings made between February 11 and February 26 for the travel period from June 28th to February 6th, 2018. The premium flatbed on the other hand, starts from RM2,999.

The news was also confirmed via their Twitter account.

AirAsia X made an announcement on January 24th, explaining that they will be able to fly into any destination in the US after receiving clearance from the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA). According to AirAsia’s CEO, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, this is a major milestone for AirAsia X.

“I’m confident travellers will respond well to our award-winning service and the kind of connectivity we can offer with our Fly-Thru product. As part of our expansion plans, we are also looking to resume our very popular London route, and are working towards securing the necessary approvals,” he told The Star.
