Teaching is one of the most noblest professions.
It's not for everyone though.
The hours are long, the amount of patience required is godly and the salary is ok ok jer.
So, it's always amazing to hear stories about teachers going out of their way because they're just so passionate about their jobs.
And speaking of such teachers, meet Syahril Faiza Zakaria.
This primary school teacher from Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Tumpat 2 in Kelantan actually forked out RM1,000 to decorate a classroom to welcome kids who had been away during the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Speaking to Malay Mail, Syahril , who teaches maths and music said he just wanted to do something nice for the kids.

“I wanted my students to be filled with joy just as they were before the MCO was put in place and that was why I had to decorate the classroom.
“The condition of the class was gloomy and had an uninviting ambience which prompted me to do something about it," he said.
Awwwwwww
He also added that decorating the place made it look more cosy and welcoming for the children who were returning after a very long break.

A month to put things together
Syaril took about a month to redocorate the space and included new items including information boards with content on Malaysia's history and even some info on the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I also bought plush toys coupled with other items such as plants and placed it in the classroom so that the classroom would have a more vibrant and colourful feel to it," he said.
We just love Syahril's spirit and those kids are very lucky to have a teacher like him!
