Many Malaysians are big fans of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his adorable wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali.

One of them is rock icon Amy Search.

He recently found out that he was staying in the same hotel as his idol Dr Siti Hasmah in Langkawi.


According to a report in The Star, Amy didn’t want to miss the chance to meet up the 95-year-old.

Seranading Tun with a classic

The singer somehow arranged to meet with Dr Siti Hasmah and even sang his hit song 'Isabella' for her.



In an Instagram post under the username qasander, the singer said he was having breakfast at a hotel in Langkawi when he heard Dr Siti Hasmah was also there.

He asked the person who was accompanying Dr Siti Hasmah if he could meet her.

“Thank God we managed to get to see Tun and she wanted me to sing her “Isabella”.

"She said that although she cannot see well, she could recognise my voice. She advised us to wash our hands and wear our masks - so sweet of her.

"We hope Tun and her husband (Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad) will always be in good health and protected, ” he said as quoted in the report.
