We have a question for you: do you know that elephants can swim?

A bit hard to believe, right, considering their size and the short feet, but elephants can swim really well.

And a Malaysian man has the video to prove it.

The four-minute video, shot by one Mohd Suwardi Muhammad Azmi, shows an elephant swimming its way across Tasik Kenyir in Hulu Terengganu.

The elephant can then be seen climbing out of the water before stopping for a quick photo op. It then disappeared into a nearby forest.

You can check out the video below:

Mohd Suwardi told Bernama that he was on a fishing trip when he spotted the swimming elephant, and he quickly whipped out his phone to record a video.

He then posted the video on his Facebook page, and it has since gone viral.

In fact, Mohd Suwardi revealed that it wasn't the first time he's seen elephants swimming.

“Since I started fishing here in 2004, I have seen elephants swim in the water four times,” he was quoted as saying.

He told the news agency that he had also seen other animals such as tigers, wild boars, monkeys, wild goats, deer and mousedeer swimming in the lake.

He also added that for people who frequent the lake, the sight of swimming wild animals is completely normal.
