AstraZene-car: Malaysia To Introduce Drive-Through Vaccinations Soon
With the vaccination drive going slower than expected (2,999,036 doses administered so far, according to Reuters), Malaysian authorities are looking at ways to speed up the process.
One of the ways include something we Malaysians are very familiar with: a drive-through service.

Pilot programme deemed a success

On Sunday (30 May), Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the government will be rolling out a drive-through vaccination system soon.
According to Malay Mail, the decision was made after authorities successfully ran a pilot programme at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.
Khairy added that the government will release more details on the system soon.
With the drive through system getting the green light, Khairy hopes that the initiative will ramp up the government's vaccination programme for the public.
This new drive-through system came at the perfect time after Malaysians took to social media to complain about the long queues and messy system at various vaccination centers in the country.
Several countries around the world such as the United Kingdom, United States and India have already rolled out a drive-through vaccination system.
Let's hope our time comes soon.
