The Authorities Want You To Stop Watching The Leaked Version Of 'Dukun'

The movie - starring Datin Umie Aida, Bront Palarae and Deana Yusof - was supposed to be released in 2007, but the National Film Development Corporation (FINAS) decided to ban the film because it was deemed offensive.

End of the story, right? Nope.

Eleven years later, the full movie has made its way online for all to see and boy, the authorities are not happy at all.

According to a report by The New Straits Times, they view the leak as "a very serious issue".

"It's a gross violation of intellectual property and once again, we want to warn the public that it's a serious offence," FINAS director-general Datuk Fauzi Ayob was quoted as saying.

Fauzi also sternly said that uploading and sharing pirated materials on the internet is against the law, and those found guilty will be heavily penalised.

At the moment, Fauzi told the daily that the department is investigating the leak and has called on Netizens to give their fullest cooperation so that they can bring the perpetrator to book.
