The interactive site www.burgerkatmane.com.my is a lot like websites such as Airbnb, but instead of rooms, you find burger operators.
Initiated by Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) for their brand of mayonnaise Lady's Choice, the website aims to connect the thousands of burger stall operators in Malaysia with their customers. The site has a very simple interface:
Once you've input your location, the website will automatically point out burger spots near you.
Our office is in Seri Kembangan so nothing turned up (yet). You can navigate the map however, and this is the results we got. From here simply click on one in the area you're looking for.
Once you've clicked on a burger stall in particular you're treated to this page. You can leave a rating and get directions to the burger stall from here. The app is in its infancy but major burger operators are already on board. We forsee it being a real contender in the F&B solutions space if there's a strong base of users who constantly update the website – as well as operators.
Operators can also use the site to promote their stalls and provide customers with offers. They can also connect with their consumers via the website.
You may login to the site as a user or as an operator easily with Facebook, e-mail, or your phone. There are already registered burger outlets in Johor, Terengganu, Kedah, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, and one in Sarawak called Dojiro Burger. Free shoutout to Dojiro Burger in Sibu!
