It's a good time to be a Malaysian.

Cathay Pacific has decided to waive ticket rebooking/rerouting charges for all its flight for all Malaysians.

Sounds like a pretty sweet deal, right?

But before you go and book your flight tickets, hold on for a minute.

This special treatement is only applicable to Malaysians who plan to travel back to vote in the upcoming general elections (GE14).

Your face right now.
In a statement uploaded on their website, the Hong Kong based airline said the waiver is applicable for all Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon flight tickets issued in Malaysia.

The waiver is also applicable irrespective of fare type, as long as the travel date falls on the day of the election.

Make your change wisely.
Of course, there are several conditions for the waiver. One, you must be a Malaysian and if the election date falls within your inbound and outbound travel date, you can only make one change for all your tickets.

Then, the change to the tickets must be made within seven days from the announcement of GE14.
