China Is Racing To Build A New Hospital In 10 Days For Coronovirus Patients
With the deadly coronavirus taking over the world in scary speed, quick measures are being taken to contain it.
One such measure is China’s move to build a brand-new hospital in just 10 days to treat patients infected with the virus!
Yes, you heard that right.
According to a report in Reuters, the hospital, which is expected to be built by Feb 3 will have the capacity to hold 1,000 beds across 25,000 square metres.
Quoting Xinhua news agency, the report said the new hospital would ease the shortage of medical treatment resources and improve the ability to care for patients.
However, this is not the first time China has built a hospital out of the blue.
In 2003 China erected a hospital in barely a week to cater to a rapidly rising number of patients suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
Called the Xiaotangshan Hospital, it was built out of prefabricated structures, and the new hospital that is currently being built is based on the same model.
We hope that the new hospital will help the situation!
