In the early hours of the morning, Huang was awakened by a man who allegedly grabbed her hand and began removing her clothing.
It is understood that Huang fought back and managed to trick the suspect into going to the bathroom to take a shower, giving her an opportunity to escape. However, the suspect allegedly caught up with her, dragged her by the hair, and attempted to force her to the ground.
The victim eventually managed to flee and hid in bushes on a hillside near the resort, where she remained until morning before being found by hotel staff.

Huang reportedly suffered numerous ant and mosquito bites while hiding in the bushes. She also sustained multiple injuries, mainly to her legs and back, during the ordeal.
Suspect identified as resort security guard
Following the incident, Huang claimed that the resort contacted her but did not offer compensation beyond covering a small portion of her medical expenses and providing three nights of accommodation at another hotel.
Investigations later revealed that the suspect was an 18-year-old security guard employed by the resort where Huang had been staying. Huang further alleged that he was a foreign national who had entered Malaysia illegally and was residing in the country without valid documents.
According to reports, police said they would take action against employers found to have hired illegal immigrants or individuals without valid work permits.
On 15 October, Huang shared an update stating that the man had been sentenced to two years in prison for trespassing. However, investigations into the alleged attempted sexual assault are still ongoing.
