High-risk countries

The countries are:
According to the report, the ban includes six categories of pass holders: those with permanent resident status (PR), Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme participants, expatriates including professional visit pass (PVP) holders and resident pass holders.

Spouses of Malaysian citizens and their children, as well as students from these countries, are also barred from entering Malaysia.

However, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said last Thursday (3 September) that the government allows Malaysians from high-risk countries to return home, but they will need to undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine.

That, of course, is subjected to the Immigration Department's approval.

As the world is still struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic, it is best to stay where you are until things are under control.
