Coming To Our Malaysian Skies In 2022: Four-Seater Flying Taxis By AirAsia
When you're stuck in a horrible jam, have you ever looked up to the sky and day dream about the day you'll be able to sit in a flying car and avoid all the traffic below you?
Well, your dream is about to become a reality - well, sort of.
If everything goes according to plan, we could very well see flying taxis in our Malaysian skies by next year.
'Working on it right now'

That's because budget airline AirAsia is reportedly looking at launching a flying-taxi business, Bloomberg reported.
Although the idea may sound pretty ludicrous, the company's chief executive officer and co-founder Tan Sri Tony Fernandes is very confident that the service can be launched as early as 2022.
"We are working on that right now. I think we are about a year and a half away from launching," he was quoted as saying on Saturday (6 March).

So, what can we expect from a flying taxi?
Well, according to Fernandes, the flying taxi will be powered by a quadcopter and will come with as many as four seats.
While flying taxis seem like a good idea on paper, we figure that the logistics side of the business could be a real nightmare. For example, where are the flying taxis going to land? How much is it going to cost? What are the safety requirements do a flying taxi need?
However, we are still excited to see how AirAsia plans to pull this off, because it would definitely be something out of our Wawasan 2020 drawing book.
