Say your name with pride.

Always feel a tinge of jealousy when you spot cars with super cool number plates, especially when you're overseas? Or are you patiently waiting for the 'BOO' number plate so that you can get the number '8135'?

Well, here's some good news; personalised car number plates might be making their way to Malaysia soon.

According to a report by automotive site Paul Tan, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said the government is currently mulling the decision to introduce personalised car plates in the country.

Loke said that personalised vehicle registration plates are very common in other countries, and he foresees a favourable response from Malaysians if they were to be introduced here.

We know what number plate he's getting.
Introducing these special vanity plates would also help generate revenue for the government, Loke said.

"Whoever has the money, he can do a personalised number," he was quoted as saying.

However, he did not reveal when the government would be introducing these plates, but he hope it's "in the near future".

Does that mean we will be seeing number plates like these soon:

Your medical prescription.
We all need this one.
