Couple Remarries After Falling for Each Other While Visiting the Graves of Their Former Spouses

Marinah Mohd Beseri, 48, lost her husband to pancreatic cancer in May 2024. Since then, she has visited his grave in Senawang Islamic Cemetery daily.

According to a report, Marinah found comfort in the company of fellow mourner, Norhisham Mohd Nor, 64, who coincidentally lost his wife in 2024.

Apart from regularly visiting the graves, Marinah and Norhisham also organised communal activities and prayer gatherings, and soon, they became close. Other family members also created a WhatsApp group since the pair would often meet at the graveyard.

Marinah said after she grew closer to Norhisham, she noticed striking similarities between him and her late husband. The pair tied the knot in November last year after knowing each other for six months.

Addressing the questions she often received from friends and families who thought she had moved on too quickly, Marinah said her new husband had been a beacon of light in her life.

“I struggled with depression for over a month following my husband's death. That was one of the reasons why I came to visit his grave every day. Norhisham's presence helped ease my grief and even though we're now married, we still visit our late spouses’ graves together.” she shared.

Meanwhile, Norhisham confessed he was immediately drawn to Marinah when he first saw her at the cemetery but chose to keep his feelings a secret as he knew Marinah was still grieving.
